Fewer travelers are satisfied with using the web to plan and buy trips, according to a study by Forrester Research, a market research company. Customer satisfaction with online travel sites is down to just 46% of users. That means that 64% of travelers are looking for better ways to book their trips.
“People are saying ‘I don’t understand my options, and I would like to talk to someone who can do all the searching and tell me what’s available,’ ” said the analyst who wrote the Forrester study.
“What the Internet has done is given us a nation that knows the price of everything and the value of nothing,” said Bill Maloney, CEO of the American Society of Travel Agents.
